New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc. (NRPA) was founded 
in New York City in 1981 to foster the development of 
new and experimental work for radio and sound arts. In 
1996, it extended its mandate to net art and launched 
its pioneering web site, Turbulence.org. In March 2002, 
NRPA opened an office in Boston to extend the geographic

ISSUE PROJECT ROOM
The Project Room provides an open and versatile 
environment where both established and emerging 
artists can conduct, exhibit and perform new and 
site-specific work according to their respective 
visions. Through an evolving collaboration with 
curators, artists and educators, the Project 
Room fosters a wide-range of artistic projects 
that challenge and expand conventional practices 
in art. The Project Room fulfills its mission 
through a series of innovative programs, events, 
exhibitions, performances, talks and concerts. 


The first Thursday of every month, the Museum of 
Contemporary Art San Diego hosts TNT 
(Thursday Night Thing), an ongoing program of 
intriguing events in MCASD's Downtown galleries. 
Beginning at 7 pm, something different and 
interesting will be happening downtown— from 
slide jams, DJ lessons, and poetry readings to 
live bands, artists' talks, and video projections— 
TNT's eclectic events will be occasions to interact 
with the arts and artists in the San Diego region.


The People’s Music School is the only tuition-free 
community music school of its kind in the United 
States based in Chicago, IL.  Founded in 1976 by 
Dr. Rita Simo, the School was set up to offer 
private music instruction to anyone, regardless 
of their financial resources.  Today, the School

to hundreds of students each year and dozens of
